Become a Member
Membership is a two-way thing: come to fellowship, serve on a project, and see whether the club fits. Here is exactly what joining asks of you — and what it costs.
One hour a week
Fellowship runs every Thursday, 5:30–6:30 PM at Nakuru Athletic Club. Short service update, project news, time to talk.
KES 3,000 a year
Rotary International dues and club running costs, plus a KES 500 Rotaract pin. Projects are funded separately by fundraising — you are never billed for one.
A course, then a conversation
6 chapters and 14 lessons about Rotaract, service and leadership, ending in a one-page proposal. Officers read it; a person still decides.

Learn the movement before you commit to it
Understand the movement. Find your place in your club. Learn to plan, lead and follow through on service. It is online, it is free, and you can stop halfway and come back. Each chapter ends with a real situation — the sort that turns up at a project, not in a textbook.
- Discover Rotaract
A global movement with room for your ideas.
- Inside your club
People, meetings and what membership asks of you.
- Serve with integrity
Make good decisions and help people feel they belong.
- Make service happen
Listen first. Plan carefully. Follow through.
- Grow as a leader
Work with people and tell the story responsibly.
- Your first contribution
Turn what you have learned into a practical proposal.
Reading the course needs no account. Signing in is what saves your place and lets the club mark your answers.
If you’re 18 or over, there is a place for you here
Young professionals and students, aged 18 and over, in and around Nakuru. We are deliberately diverse and inclusive: all professions, campuses and backgrounds welcome.
Fellowship is a relaxed hour: a short look at the week’s service, a project update, and time to get to know each other. Through the year we also run our book club and professional-development sessions.
Guests may attend three fellowships before deciding — no pressure, no cost.
Your first Thursday.
You can come on your own. You can come with questions. You don’t need to know the club vocabulary first.
Before you come
Check with an officer that this week’s fellowship is going ahead. Ask about directions, access needs or any dress requirements.
When you arrive
Introduce yourself as a first-time guest. Meet members, hear about the club’s work and ask what you’d like to know.
Take your time
Guests may attend three fellowships before deciding. Talk with the membership team about projects and the next steps.
Four steps, in this order
The course can run alongside the first two. Nothing is decided behind your back, and nobody is inducted on the strength of a quiz score.
Come to fellowship
Attend three Thursday fellowships, 5:30–6:30 PM. Come as you are — guests are family.
Serve on a project
Join one hands-on project — a cleanup, a donation drive, a school visit. Feel the work.
Get to know the club
Explore our short orientation course at your own pace. Ask the membership team how they confirm orientation before induction.
Get inducted
Take the oath, get your pin, and start with a mentor. Mentorship from day one.

Rotaract and Rotary clubs are both part of Rotary International. Rotaract welcomes adults aged 18 and over, with members leading their own clubs and projects. Menengai’s sponsor is the Rotary Club of Nakuru, and we share Rotary’s motto: Service Above Self.
Yes. You do not need to know a member before visiting. Introduce yourself as a first-time guest and ask an officer to help you get started.
No. Adults aged 18 and over from different campuses, professions and backgrounds are welcome. You do not need a particular qualification to visit.
Weekly fellowship is one hour, 5:30–6:30 PM on Thursdays. Projects take additional time and vary by activity. Ask about dates and responsibilities before committing.
Check with an officer for any venue or event requirements. Project days may need specific clothing or equipment; ask before you travel.
Use the three free guest fellowships to get to know the club and ask questions. You can decide after visiting; attending as a guest does not automatically enrol you.
